Arts Festival and Cheer Performance

All three girls took a 6-week cheer class and performed at the Arts Festival. As we were waiting for their performance to start, I tried to figure out if the camera could record a video. I thought I had it figured out and so I tried to get close to the stage to film since I didn't know how to get the camera to zoom in. Then, the performance started and I tried to push record and instead turned the camera off. So I missed the very beginning of the cheer, but it is still really cute.

Then we walked around and looked at all the different booths. There was a man dressed up like a pirate that gave each of the girls a sparkly ring. Lulu was eating Cheetos so he gave her an orange ring to match her orange fingers. He said that because he was a very smart pirate, he decided to give Ruby the biggest ring and Bella the smallest ring. In the picture below, Ruby is sampling the extra-large onion rings.

Lulu loved watching all the dragonflies flitting around and found a way to get them to land on her finger. Ruby is behind her finishing off a stick of lemon flavored rock candy.

Bella really just wanted to drink some "lemalade" and to play on the "playplound". While I wasn't looking, she managed to ditch her shoes and socks and accomplish her objective of getting her feet really dirty.

Daddy was getting Grandma and Grandpa at the airport, but we made sure to bring him the one thing he has wanted to try since he saw people walking around gnawing on them at last year's Arts Festival - a smoked Turkey leg. He was willing to share with everyone at dinner so we ended up all getting a taste.
