Bag Lady

For Christmas, I helped the girls make presents for each other, backpacks for their American Girl dolls. The older two girls did quite a bit of the sewing themselves and were excited to their sister open the gift on Christmas Day.

For Christmas, I made these 8 "church bags" for the grand-daughters of a friend in our ward. The names of the grand-daughters are embroidered on the other side of the bag. Since the 8 grand-daughters were in 3 different families, I was able to make 4 different bags for the girls who were all in the same family, and then a similar bag for one of their cousins in a different family. As I spent a lot of time working on this project, my husband started calling me "The Bag Lady."

I made this bag for my daughter's friend as a birthday present. I found some cute pens and things to put in it too at the Runnings .99 cent store.

Orchestra Concert

Ruby is taking viola lessons and had her first orchestra concert. If I could figure out how to put a video on here, I would post her playing her viola on here. I can't figure the video thing out though, even though I've tried and tried! Here are some pictures of Ruby (and Bella) at the concert. (Somehow we don't have any pictures of Lulu at the concert even though she was there too.)

Annual Horse Club Petting Zoo

It was our first time attending the Horse Club Petting Zoo. They had a Mommy and baby camel, sheep, llamas, horses, cows, water buffalo, rabbits, hamsters/guinea pigs. They let kids ride the horses too. It was REALLY cold!! The camera battery was really low, so I did not get many pictures.

Fall Fun!

Saw these in one of those parenting magazines . . . they were fun to make and eat!

Carving pumpkins!

Bella wanted to imitate a picture she saw of a little girl surrounded by all her stuffed animals.

The older girls were on a Harry Potter kick for a while. Ruby was Harry and Lulu was Hermione.

Reading Baby Mouse and The Magic Eye Harry Potter Book. The older girls have to accumulate a certain amount of AR points for school. Ruby has been taking AR tests as she finished each Harry Potter book and has over 100 points. Lulu's teacher promised to take her students out to lunch once they reached 25 points. So Lulu took the AR test for the fourth Harry Potter book, got 28 points and enjoyed a nice lunch from Arby's with her teacher!

Trunk or treat - Lulu was a pioneer girl, Ruby was Luna Lovegood and Bella wore her Fern the Green Fairy costume from last year.

Second round of trick or treating, Lulu decided to be a witch. With a basket :)

Daddy ingeniously made Bella (aka Fern) a broom also (from a back scratcher and ribbons), so she could be like her big sister.

The yummiest HOMEMADE German Chocolate Birthday Cake ever! Made by my sweet husband!

Super-delicious birthday presents!!

I wish I remembered what was going on here . . . Bella got into my mascara somehow and had some fun!
